The couple we built this stunning house for are fans of the Prairie School style with its horizontal lines, minimalist approach and integration with the natural landscape. They were active participants in the planning and design process, which took the better part of a year. Start to finish, this was a challenging, satisfying project.
We concepted around a two-story great room with huge windows and tall sliding doors. The home is set into the ground to offset the great room’s height and to help the house fit with the setting.
